Below are frequently used herbs in diabetes.

The latter activity is thought to be secondary to activation of the insulin receptor tyrosine kinase or the inhibition of tyrosine phosphatase. It is a natural plant insulin.

Additionally, the soluble fiber content of fenugreek may play a role in aiding weight control. However, fenugreek should not be used by pregnant or nursing women.

Olive leaf: acts as a hypotensive (lowers the blood sugar levels) and dilates the walls of blood vessels. Thereby increasing blood flow and circulation through the body and to vital organs. It has no side effects even when taken over a long period, so it is good for diabetics.

Pterocarpus marsupium : also known as Indian Kino demonstrates to decrease the glucose. It is absorption from the gastrointestinal tract, and improves insulin and pro-insulin levels. It is also effective in beta cell regeneration. No other drug or natural agent has been shown to generate this activity.

Herbal remedies for diabetes are one of alternative treatments and it has been proved its efficiency in many traditional medicines.  Today we can use this natural treatment as part of integrative medicines but it is important anyway to talk with your doctor or health care provider before choosing any herbs for diabetes treatment.  Though there are some scientific supports, you still need to know how to prepare and what the proper dose is.
