remedy has become popular as alternative treatment for high sugar blood
or diabetes.
One supportive reason why herbal treatment becoming
popular is that some herbal medicines are easily found in our backyards. Considering

levels as well as triglycerides and cholesterol, all of which
are important especially for type 2 diabetes patients.
Fenugreek :
helps regulate blood sugar levels. Its seeds not only lower blood glucose but
reduce insulin levels, total cholesterol and triglycerides, while increasing
HDL (good cholesterol). Additionally,
the soluble fiber content of fenugreek may play a role in aiding weight
control. However, fenugreek should not be used by pregnant or nursing women.
Genera Sylvestre : also known as the "sugar
destroyer". To treat diabetes, dried leaves are pounded together with
Coriander fruit (Coriandrum sativum L.), juice is
extracted and given orally. These remedy has been used in India for treating
diabetes for about 2000 years.
Gymnema:
improves the ability of insulin to lower blood sugar in
both type I and type II diabetes and repair damage to insulin producing cells in the pancreas. This
herb is also being used as weight loss products and blood sugar balancing
formulas.
Olive leaf: acts as a hypotensive (lowers the blood sugar levels) and
dilates the walls of blood vessels. Thereby increasing blood flow and
circulation through the body and to vital organs. It has no side effects even
when taken over a long period, so it is good for diabetics.
Pterocarpus marsupium : also known as
Indian Kino demonstrates to decrease the glucose. It is absorption from the
gastrointestinal tract, and improves insulin and pro-insulin levels. It is also
effective in beta cell regeneration. No other drug or natural agent has
been shown to generate this activity.
Herbal
